05:02 near-earth asteroids or frozen rocks
05:04 orbiting the sun with the closest
05:05 approach to the sun
05:07 of less than 1.3 astronomical
05:10 units an astronomical unit is the
05:12 distance between the earth and
05:14 the sun these asteroids can sometimes
05:17 cross the earth’s orbit
05:19 and come very close if such an asteroid
05:21 is larger than 140 meters in diameter it
05:24 is considered a potentially hazardous
05:26 astronomers monitor all potentially
05:28 hazardous near-earth objects
05:30 the citizen scientists underwent a
05:34 45-day training program
05:36 under the saptara ishii india asteroid

05:49 so one thing is are they just bringing a
05:52 ton of people in to search for asteroids
