Chip production from other Time: 07:48 countries and what they're allowed to Time: 07:50 have so that we can not allow them to Time: 07:53 beat us at AI us being the US Time: 07:56 um in retaliation for that it looks like Time: 07:57 they're now going to not export a couple Time: 08:00 of specific metal components that are um Time: 08:03 critical in the production of chips so Time: 08:07 um some of those they produce uh quite a Time: 08:09 bit of and some of them are produced by Time: 08:10 other countries as well Time: 08:12 um so it may not necessarily uh be as Time: 08:17 um you know Time: 08:19 as rare uh in some instances it just Time: 08:21 make it more difficult because they Time: 08:23 probably have quite a bit of it as you Time: 08:24 know they they have a large Time: 08:25 manufacturing so Time: 08:27 um I think gallium is one of them uh Time: 08:30 gallium and the other one is germanium Time: 08:32 uh so those are being placed on their Time: 08:34 restricted export lists so you can no Time: 08:37 longer buy those from China Time: 08:40 so I wonder if they did this with Time: 08:42 something uh even more important you Time: 08:45 know if they did this with some of their Time: 08:46 other supplies that were dependent on uh Time: 08:49 for them the one thing that we have Time: 08:51 talked about a bunch here for the last Time: 08:52 few years is how we grew almost Time: 08:55 completely dependent for apis our active Time: 08:58 pharmaceutical ingredients and of course Time: 09:01 antibiotics antibiotics are mostly made Time: 09:04 in China we get about 90 of all of our Time: 09:07 antibiotics from China I think it's even Time: 09:10 more or maybe maybe backwards it's in Time: 09:12 one is 93 and then or one is 97 Time: 09:16 of uh of apis active pharmaceutical Time: 09:20 ingredients to make antibiotics and then Time: 09:23 90 of our antibiotics as as of about a Time: 09:26 year and a half ago or two years ago all Time: 09:28 of them were coming from uh China that's Time: 09:31 absolutely insane antibiotics are you Time: 09:34 know they're basically the spine of the Time: 09:36 medical uh system so it is really nuts Time: 09:39 that we are dependent on them for that Time: 09:41 and I don't understand why since that's Time: 09:43 been known for years why has there not Time: 09:46 been gigantic steps why isn't that Time: 09:47 screamed in the Congress that we need to Time: 09:50 change that that we need to do something Time: 09:52 at the same time it screamed all over Time: 09:54 the place said you know we may be going Time: 09:55 to World War III with them do you think Time: 09:58 that they're going to go to war with us Time: 09:59 and keep shipping us uh antibiotics and Time: 10:02 lithium and and everything else that Time: 10:04 they manufacture there probably not Time: 10:07 we had a caller the other night that Time: 10:08 called our call-in show and talked about Time: 10:11 how how much they have grown since they Time: 10:13 opened their doors to capitalism and it Time: 10:16 is really insane how fast they have Time: 10:18 grown everything I mean from their Time: 10:22 military to their GDP to everything uh Time: 10:25 Dex go ahead Time: 10:27 well one of these uh they they actually Time: 10:29 list some of the products uh that you Time: 10:31 can expect to see and I think what Time: 10:33 you'll see is an increase in price not Time: 10:35 necessarily uh restrictions on their Time: 10:37 availability Time: 10:39 um but here's the example gallium it's Time: 10:41 used across a broad range of electronics Time: 10:43 including solar panels which would be um Time: 10:46 obviously very important because every a Time: 10:48 lot of people are investing heavily in Time: 10:49 solar those panels are going everywhere Time: 10:52 um then there's they're also used in low Time: 10:53 noise microwave pre-amplifiers that are Time: 10:56 going to smartphones uh LED lights use Time: 10:59 them uh lasers that are used for Blu-ray Time: 11:02 discs which probably you know maybe in Time: 11:04 the gaming industry I don't know who's Time: 11:06 really buying Blu-rays at this point Time: 11:08 um but that's just an example so I think Time: 11:10 about solar panels I think about the Time: 11:12 components that go into smartphones when Time: 11:13 it comes to that prices will go up now Time: 11:15 for example gallium is the China is the Time: 11:18 leading producer of it but there are Time: 11:20 others that are also leading producers Time: 11:22 like Japan and South Korea so great we Time: 11:24 can get it from there but the other two Time: 11:25 are Russia and ukr which you know good Time: 11:29 luck getting anything out of there with Time: 11:30 everything that's going on so three of Time: 11:32 the top five leading producers are Time: 11:35 probably going to be non-existent for Time: 11:37 this type of product leaving it solely Time: 11:39 to Japan and South Korea to supply Time: 11:41 gallium as one example of these two Time: 11:44 restrictions which will probably cause Time: 11:45 solar panels to go up cell phones and Time: 11:48 LEDs to go up Time: 11:50 diagnosed Time: 12:21 with cancer and and perished from cancer Time: 12:24 uh so there's there's a lot of things Time: 12:26 that of course can just come all of a Time: 12:28 sudden I mean it's the uh slow way of Time: 12:31 getting hit by a truck so there's and Time: 12:34 with of course the system and anybody Time: 12:36 that's here probably knows over the last Time: 12:39 50 60 years there has been a huge rise Time: 12:42 in all sorts of different ailments and Time: 12:44 even though we're supposed to be living Time: 12:46 longer than we ever have before it's Time: 12:49 only if you play the system it's only if Time: 12:51 you have the perfect insurance and and Time: 12:54 take the the pills they want you to if Time: 12:57 you don't have a good system then you Time: 13:00 honestly you get you get uh you fall Time: 13:02 through the cracks I mean how many Time: 13:03 people do you know that say they don't Time: 13:05 have health insurance for one reason or Time: 13:07 the other even with the whole Obamacare Time: 13:09 and all of that that they or or they Time: 13:12 have insurance and the co-pay is so much Time: 13:14 that they can't afford it how many Time: 13:16 people have you heard about that uh Time: 13:18 slipping through the cracks how many Time: 13:19 people do you know in the last 20 years Time: 13:21 that have actually died that could have Time: 13:23 actually lived if they had the ability Time: 13:26 to actually save themselves that's what Time: 13:28 I I think about is just how quickly Time: 13:30 these things have hit and how all of Time: 13:32 these different uh long-term stats have Time: 13:35 shown really suspicious things like Time: 13:38 men's sperm counts dropping 50 percent Time: 13:41 over the last few decades why is that uh Time: 13:44 why do why do certain autisms uh why Time: 13:47 have they basically shot up why why is Time: 13:50 you know ADHD another Focus related uh Time: 13:54 things going up why why um Ms in the Time: 13:57 Northwest we give some of the highest Time: 13:59 rates here and they literally had Time: 14:01 Billboards at one point saying is it in Time: 14:03 the rain is it in the water like people Time: 14:05 didn't know why we had the highest rates Time: 14:07 of of Ms or multiple sclerosis in in the Time: 14:10 country I think it was Ms yeah Time: 14:12 and it's like why why are these things Time: 14:15 happening now of course after 2019 Time: 14:18 there's probably going to be a whole Time: 14:20 slew of other things that may pop up we Time: 14:22 don't know Time: 14:23 but I I just uh I would say the good Time: 14:26 thing to do is to of course knock on Time: 14:29 wood and pray that you stay healthy Time: 14:32 because if this medical system and if if Time: 14:34 our dependence on China is this bad then Time: 14:36 if we do go to trouble uh with them then Time: 14:39 we are going to be screwed Time: 14:41 and again you can contact your local Time: 14:44 government and say hey we need to fix Time: 14:47 this we need to try to make our own and Time: 14:50 and speed this up Time: 14:51 and then mccrone postpones State visit Time: 14:54 to Germany to deal with violent riots Time: 14:56 it they Time: 16:49 said that someone had reported that they Time: 16:51 were turning off the internet in certain Time: 16:53 areas where they were having this Time: 16:55 problem at certain times to sort of stop Time: 16:57 the spread of social messaging about you Time: 17:00 know the uprisings uh but they did come Time: 17:03 out and say hey we never said that and Time: 17:05 we didn't do it and that's false Time: 17:06 information so yeah I know a lot of Time: 17:08 people have heard that and talked about Time: 17:10 it I have no I don't know what's true Time: 17:11 and what's not true I'm just saying Time: 17:13 that's what's been reported Time: 17:14 again we and again did there was uh the Time: 17:17 whole talk about operation Starfall is Time: 17:19 if if major places lose their internet Time: 17:21 uh something like operation Starfall if Time: 17:24 you want to look that up it's uh where Time: 17:26 they would launch atmospheric balloons Time: 17:28 to essentially have that if if it was our Time: 17:48 allies turning off the internet what if Time: 17:50 France or macron decided to turn off the Time: 17:52 internet to his country would we go over Time: 17:54 and give internet access to one of our Time: 17:57 allies if it was by choice that they Time: 17:59 didn't have internet that it wasn't an Time: 18:01 attack or that it wasn't a dictatorship Time: 18:04 it was you know a so-called democracy Time: 18:07 had a com a country had something like Time: 18:09 that happen I I just wonder if if Time: 18:11 something if if somebody would step in Time: 18:14 and let this Time: 51:16 stage that Time: 51:18 um we would have that Technology based Time: 51:21 on what they tell us is available with Time: 51:23 our technology but based on what we know Time: 51:25 uh 54:17 in the United States that they could Time: 54:19 mine for the whole world was it oh yeah Time: 54:21 he's yeah he was basically saying Time: 54:22 there's more than enough lithium to go Time: 54:24 around the world every country has Time: 54:25 enough for everybody's needs it's not Time: 54:28 the actual it's not a limitation on the Time: 54:31 resource it is the function of of a Time: 54:34 getting it out of the ground but more Time: 54:35 importantly be refining it because what Time: 54:37 comes out of the ground isn't usable Time: 54:39 now uh Dex did you see the thing I I Time: 54:42 sent you earlier Time: 54:44 um about the world us grabbing all of Time: 54:47 the water or liquids out of the world Time: 54:49 did you did we end up getting that in Time: 54:51 here Time: 55:30 waste and they don't that nothing Time: 55:32 happens to them that's just what they do Time: 55:34 they can eat it and it actually Time: 55:35 processes it and takes care of it uh to Time: 55:38 an extent Time: 55:39 um so if you think about like the amount Time: 55:42 of waste that we have piled up it's a Time: 55:43 tremendous amount it's everywhere so Time: 55:45 we've got Time: 55:46 um I think they even said this is a UK Time: 55:48 article I think they said the amount of Time: 55:50 of waste that's stored uh just in the UK Time: 55:53 could fill like uh Wembley like four or Time: 55:56 five times over that's how much they Time: 55:57 have Time: 55:58 um so you know having a coming up with a Time: 56:02 process that not just you know our Time: 56:03 current processes just store it how do Time: 56:05 we store it if we have another process Time: 56:08 that comes up in this case using Time: 56:10 microbes that can actually eat it and Time: 56:13 process it and destroy it and bring it Time: 56:15 back you know bring not bring the waste Time: 56:18 back but basically get rid of the waste Time: 56:19 in its in its bad state that will you Time: 56:23 know Bode very well for the nuclear Time: 56:25 power industry if they're going to be Time: 56:27 able to keep going now that's a big Time: 56:29 question because in this whole you know Time: 56:30 green stuff there's a lot of talk about Time: 56:33 now we don't need to be using nuclear Time: 56:34 because it's bad and then you've got a Time: 56:36 lot of people on the side of of that um Time: 56:40 of the environmental stuff saying it's Time: 56:42 while yes it's bad it's also safe and we Time: 56:44 should use it because it doesn't have a Time: 56:46 lot of emissions because it doesn't you Time: 56:47 know for the most part outside of the Time: 56:49 toxic waste which is really bad Time: 56:52 um the rest of it is fairly clean it's Time: 56:53 just steam that comes out so it's just Time: 56:55 heat and you steam and the steam Time: 56:57 produces electricity and then the Time: 56:58 byproduct is the white smoke steam that Time: 57:00 comes out it's not a big deal compared Time: 57:02 to you know coal and everything else uh Time: 57:05 Cola gas which is what the majority here Time: 57:07 in the U us the majority of our Time: 57:08 electricity comes from it I think Time: 57:10 something like 13 to 15 20 range is what Time: 57:13 we get out of say nuclear and we have Time: 57:15 quite a few uh plants maybe 20 something Time: 57:18 plants in the states here 28 plants I Time: 57:20 believe we have Time: 57:22 um so anyway that's uh that's the this Time: 57:25 is game changing as they call it uh and Time: 57:28 it it really could be if this bacterium Time: 57:30 can really get rid of the waste it'll Time: 57:33 solve a serious problem for this Time: 57:35 particular industry I don't know if it Time: 57:36 solves enough of it for this industry to Time: 57:38 be able to continue I know a lot of Time: 57:40 people are concerned about meltdowns and Time: 57:42 any type of you know uh leaking or or Time: 57:46 radiation poisoning that may happen in Time: 57:47 the local area so I think you know you Time: 57:49 ask anybody if they want to live next Time: 57:51 door to a nuclear power plant they'll Time: 57:52 probably tell you no I'd prefer to move Time: 57:54 but many people can't because they're Time: 57:55 stuck there Time: 57:57 um so yeah that's interesting to see how Time: 58:00 these you know changes are going to Time: 58:01 happen in our energy environment Time: 58:04 now somebody made a great point about uh Time: 58:07 Fourth of July almost all of the Time: 58:09 fireworks are made in China so if you Time: 58:12 really think about it whenever we Time: 58:13 celebrate our independence day we are Time: 58:16 spending and sending Millions I don't Time: 58:18 know if it's a billion dollar market but Time: 58:20 uh at least hundreds of millions of Time: 58:24 doing Time: 79:49 just so you guys know a lot of times Time: 79:51 they just did this they did it all the Time: 79:53 time they do it all the time look Time: 79:54 there's something that Twitter has it's Time: 79:56 a product it's called the fire hose well Time: 79:58 I should rephrase that there's something Time: 80:00 that Twitter had before Elon bought it Time: 80:02 called the fire hose I was well aware of Time: 80:04 it I saw it back in the tech industry a Time: 80:05 lot of companies would purchase it Time: 80:07 especially companies that were Building Time: 80:09 Products on top of Twitter's technology Time: 80:11 so if they needed to have access to all Time: 80:14 of the tweets that were coming through Time: 80:15 for whatever reason they're the product Time: 80:17 they were building needed it they would Time: 80:19 buy and license this technology called Time: 80:21 the fire hose which would give them the Time: 80:22 right to have that information with that Time: 80:25 also came a lot of rules about how you Time: 80:27 used it in other words if someone Time: 80:28 deleted a tweet you had to remove it Time: 80:30 from your database you could not keep it Time: 80:31 stuff like that they wanted to make sure Time: 80:33 there was some level of security around Time: 80:35 it people that are scraping Twitter are Time: 80:38 actually circumventing that product Time: 80:39 instead of paying for it they're getting Time: 80:42 it for free now with the Advent of AI Time: 80:44 it's really popular so let me rewind Time: 80:45 back in 2016 2017 2018 a lot of Time: 80:50 companies were using the fire hose and Time: 80:52 using what's called NLP natural language Time: 80:55 processing against all of the data they Time: 80:57 would build a huge database of all these Time: 80:59 tweets they would get from the fire hose Time: 81:01 and they would use machine learning to Time: 81:03 look at that Time: 81:04 and try to learn from it and it wasn't Time: 81:07 necessarily trying to do uh large Time: 81:09 language processing which is what chat Time: 81:11 gtpt and others are doing but it was Time: 81:13 doing NLP which was more specifically Time: 81:15 trying to find things so if it was like Time: 81:17 tell me the sentiment of people talking Time: 81:20 about Coca-Cola like or Bud Light you Time: 81:23 know how tell me what people are saying Time: 81:24 about Bud Light and the system would Time: 81:26 come back and say most people are Time: 81:27 talking about this or saying that and it Time: 81:30 was trying to help you know in that case Time: 81:32 marketers figure out what was being said Time: 81:34 now let's fast forward to today everyone Time: 81:37 is and when I say everyone the tech Time: 81:39 industry is they're trying to recover Time: 81:42 like they got hit hard all of those tech Time: 81:44 companies took a beating in the last Time: 81:46 year or two and the only ones that are Time: 81:48 shining right now are those that have Time: 81:50 the moniker of AI and it's got to have Time: 81:51 some value to it it can't just say I'm Time: 81:53 Ai and we're going to be worth a lot of Time: 81:56 money they got to actually be doing Time: 81:57 something so all of these tech companies Time: 81:59 aside from Apple Time: 82:01 um are are starting to Boom up in the Time: 82:03 stock market in valuations because Time: 82:04 because they've invested heavily in AI Time: 82:06 so what they're doing is they're looking Time: 82:09 for large amounts of you know data that Time: 82:13 they can use to learn or program their Time: 82:16 AI systems from so they can learn how to Time: 82:20 people speak and how to respond now Time: 82:22 Twitter may not be exactly the best Time: 82:23 place to learn how people actually talk Time: 82:25 because it you know especially a long Time: 82:27 time ago it was all Time: 82:29 140 characters or less now it's a little Time: 82:31 bit longer now you got long tweets so Time: 82:33 maybe that does help but Time: 82:34 um it was one of many of the data points Time: 82:37 that that they're they're using so Time: 82:39 sorry I'm rambling I hope I'm educating Time: 82:41 but I'm going pretty deep here but this Time: 82:44 is what elon's trying to stop not that Time: 82:46 he doesn't want them to do it but Time: 82:48 there's the right way to do it the right Time: 82:49 way is you gives them an Time: 84:22 advantage having a corpus of data like Time: 84:25 that gives you an advantage but it also Time: 84:26 gives you a revenue stream uh if you Time: 84:29 need to license that data out for other Time: 84:31 people to use Time: 84:32 um again it's not necessarily the data Time: 84:35 that's going to win the AI game it's the Time: 84:37 algorithm that's going to win the AI Time: 84:38 game so because the data is out there Time: 84:40 you can find it in multiple in many Time: 84:42 different ways and places Twitter is yes Time: 84:44 a decent source of data to be used 86:19 um if he puts other systems in place Time: 86:21 then it'll potentially fix this and he Time: 86:23 won't necessarily have to ruin the the Time: 86:25 end user's experience and I don't Time:
