00:11 here’s survival living
00:23 taking two sticks that we have notched
00:25 together on both ends
00:26 to mate up to each other one shorter
00:28 about three inches
00:30 and the stake stick is a little bit
00:31 longer eight to twelve inches however
00:33 deep you want to go in the soil
00:36 we put notches on top to accept our
00:38 snare and
00:39 rope here’s an example of the two
00:42 notches mating up together the longer
00:44 stick is in the ground
00:46 here is our snare using a snare wire or
00:49 baling wire
00:51 this spring trap can also be used for
00:53 fishing instead of using a snare wire
00:56 use fishing line now we have the entire
00:58 snare
00:59 in place there is tension on the rope
01:01 tied to a limb that has been pulled down
01:04 taut and now we set it off the snare
01:07 tightens down on the 2×4 and will lift
01:10 off the ground to ensure the animal
01:12 will not be released thank you for
